Hello! My name is Celia Green. I am excited to be apart of the Renaissance Wellness Team! I am a graduate of the Joint Master of Social Work Program at North Carolina A & T and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am a Chatham County native, and I am excited to begin serving this community as a clinician. I have experience providing mental health services to adolescents and adult survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, justice-served individuals, justice-involved individuals, persons experiencing homelessness, persons with substance use disorders, persons with developmental disabilities and persons in crisis situations. In my clinical practice, I am devoted to utilizing a combination of treatment modalities and interventions such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Interventions, Mindfulness exercises, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to name a few. I believe it is imperative to use evidence-based practices to provide person-centered treatment. I utilize a multicultural lens when implementing establishing a connection with clients. I aim to create a “brave space” for clients to feel comfortable in communicating their needs in whatever way they choose--through art, verbal communication, silence, etc. I believe that there is not a “one size fits all” treatment modality. Each client should have an individualized treatment plan that not only addresses their presenting problem/s, but also the systemic barriers that may prevent or challenge their access to resources. My goal is to assist clients in reaching their goals to become the best version of themselves. My hobbies are painting, dancing, and spending time with my family. |
