Meet Ms. Maxine Schroeder,
Maxine grew up in Orange County. She graduated from Guilford college in 2013 with a degree in Psychology and minors in Elementary Education Studies and Criminal Justice.
Maxine received her Master's in Social Work from NC State University in 2018. Maxine has worked with children and adolescents for 13 years, including providing school-based therapy in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district.
Maxine's therapeutic approach utilizes a combination of approaches with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing incorporating play and art activities. Maxine's emphasis is on building resiliency.
When she isn't working, Maxine enjoys playing with her dogs, sewing, and going to museums.
